Temperatures that Vary According to Time and Environment

Objects That Affect Body Temperature
Climate refers to the varying temperatures in the world of Pywel which change according to time and region. These changes in temperature may also be induced by specific environmental conditions, like standing next to fire to feel heat.

Affects Body Temperature

Climate also affects your character's body temperature. If the climate or environment is hot or cold, this will tip your body temperature and impose restrictions that affect gameplay, such as feeling exhausted due to quicker stamina depletion. The more extreme the environmental conditions are, the more intense the restrictions become.

Affects Elemental Resistances

In addtion to affecting body temperature, climate changes your character's elemental resistances. For example, if it is raining, your character will receive -13 Ice Resistance and -9 Lightning Resistance. This makes them get more damage when stuck by lightning.

Keep an Eye on Your Temperature
Body temperature is the hotness or coldness your character feels as a result of Pywel's climate. You can check your character's body temperature by looking at the colored gauge beside your mini-map at the lower left corner. Red indicates heat while blue indicates cold.

How to Maintain Optimal Body Temperature

Equip Gear or Consume Food with Fire or Frost Resistance

To maintain optimal body temperature, equip your character with fire or frost-resistant gear depending on the climate they are situated in. You can also consume food that grant similar resistance effects. These actions retain your character's mobility even as they are active in extreme climate conditions.
