How to Defeat Enemies with a Shield

Lock on to an enemy to raise your shield, then use heavy attacks to strike with it in Crimson Desert. Read on to learn how to defeat enemies with your shield.

Guard and Use Heavy Attacks

How to Attack with Your Shield

PS4 - L1 Button (Hold) + PS4 - R2 Button (Hold)
Xbox
XBOX - Left Bumper (Hold) + XBOX - Right Trigger (Hold)
PC
Ctrl Button (Hold) + Right Click (Hold)

To use your shield in combat, hold the guard button to raise your shield, which also locks on to a target, then hold the heavy attack button to strike with it. Releasing the guard button early will not trigger the shield attack. Remember that you can also raise your shield to parry and block incoming attacks.

Knock Back Multiple Enemies with the Shield Charge

The running shield charge can send multiple enemies flying when you hit them in a group. Use this to your advantage when you are surrounded by enemies, giving you some room to breathe.
