The goal of this Kliff starter build is create a viable gear and skill setup for players starting their journey. What makes the build special is that it's easy to setup, providing players with a working build that they can progress the early chapters with.

The build performs well in the early chapters of the game, where enemies are a lot squishier but punishing at the same time. The build is also easy to use, provided that players are familiar with the game's weapon and skill combination mechanics.

The Sword of the Wolf is the primary weapon of the build, used in tandem with any shield. This weapon is chosen due to its accessibility and general use.

The Warspike Spear is mostly used as a back up weapon used with the Quick Swap skill. It allows the build to have a secondary source of damage, granting the build a more punishing damage dealer after creating an opening.

This set also grants adequate defences relative to the early chapters of the game, providing you with reliable gear until you reach the mid-game.

For your Stamina Skills, it's best to invest on Armed Combat and Grappling as they provide the best combos for your attacks. Blinding Flash grants a good opener and reveals enemy weaknesses, while Stab and Forward Slash are great punish moves.

The Spirit skills are mostly used for countering in combat, particularly Keen Senses. Force Palm gives you extra spacing, while Focused Shot and Nature's Retribution are great against enemies with high mobility.

Health skills are entirely optional for the build, but Aerial Maneuver is extremely helpful for dodging AoE attacks for bosses.

For your stats, it's important to invest at least 5 points to Stamina to efficiently execute your combos and move around the map. It's also recommended to upgrade your health to at least 4 points for reliable survivability.

Starter Skill Rotation

This Early Game Kliff build focuses on overwhelming mobs and bosses through Heavy Attacks, Quick Swapping, and Grappling. The playstyle is as follows:

  1. Use two heavy attacks, followed by a Force Palm to give you another opening for two more heavy attacks.
  2. Upon staggering a boss, use Quick Swap to immediately use a Spear for heavier damage.
  3. You can also use Turning Slash to deal more damage.
  4. When fighting against mobs, utilize Lariat or Meteor Kick for AoE damage.
