How to Dispatch Comrades on Missions

Dispatch Comrades by selecting Howling Hill on the map and going to the Missions tab in Crimson Desert. Read on to learn how to dispatch Comrades and how to unlock them.

Inspect Howling Hill on the Map
Open your map via the pause menu and hover the crosshair over the Greymane Camp in Howling Hill. At the bottom of your screen, press the button to inspect the camp.

Howling Hill Mission List
You will be taken to a menu detailing the camp's profile. Scroll to the Missions tab to see a list of available missions. You can also visit the Comrades tab to see how many Freeswords you have unlocked.

Howling Hill Camp Expansion Freeswords
Select a mission from the list and dispatch whoever is the most suitable for the task. Some missions require two or more Comrades to dispatch. It will take some time before a mission is completed, so it is recommended to pass time by doing quests.

Dispatching comrades becomes available as a camp feature in the Pioneering quest in Chapter 3: Howling Hill, where you unlock Luke and Ronald as your first Freesword Comrades. As part of the objective, you need to dispatch them on the Howling Hill Camp Expansion mission to further the questline.

Not All Comrades Are Freeswords

Not all Comrades you see roaming the Greymane Camp are Freeswords. A Freesword is a Comrade you specifically dispatch on missions. Other Comrades you see in the Greymane Camp, like Marius, Carl, and Ross, are important characters who are part of the main story and provide camp features.

How to Unlock Comrades

Complete Greymane Faction Quests

Greymane Faction Quests
Spare some time completing Greymane Faction Quests to unlock more Comrades and dispatch them on multiple missions. The more Comrades you dispatch, the more camp resources you accumulate for improving the Greymane Camp.

To track some Greymane Faction Quests, open your Journal in the pause menu and select Greymanes under the Faction Quests tab.
