Use the Pillars to Deal Huge Damage
The best way to defeat Cassius Morten is by using the Nature's Grasp skill on the broken off pillars and carrying it as a blunt weapon to deal huge burst damage. This allows you to knock him down briefly and shave off practically 25% of Cassius' health, making the fight trivial whenever you have a pillar to use.
Keep Your Distance and Dodge His Attacks
Cassius Morten has a wide variety of melee attacks and a few ranged attacks that can easily catch you off guard if you are not prepared. Make sure to keep your distance and lure him towards the pillars since most of his attacks can destroy them, allowing you to use more pillars for damage.
Additionally, whenever he performs the Demon Fangs move, the last attack will break off most of the pillars in the room. This should allow you to use Nature's Grasp on every pillar in the area, giving us more opportunities to bring his health down.

| Demon Fangs | Cassius Morten thrusts his tower shield on the ground and starts winding up his mace only to throw out multiple dark spikes towards you, then moves towards the center of the arena to send out dark spikes around him. We recommend keeping your distance during this move while dodging to the side whenever he summons dark spikes. The last dark spikes attack will bring down most of the pillars in the room, allowing you to use them to deal damage. |
| Wild Swing | Cassius Morten briefly winds up and executes a 3-hit combo with his mace while moving forward. As soon as he winds up his mace behind him, run away and keep you distance as this move can easily take off a chunk of your stamina. If he gets too close to you, dodge roll to the opposite side of the swing to avoid the attack. |
