When you first start the fight against Crimson Nightmare, there will multiple enemy soldiers surrounding the area that can make the fight difficult. Make sure to focus on eliminating the enemy mobs first before you start focusing on Crimson Nightmare to alleviate any contigencies.
Once you have cleared all the nearby enemies, you can now focus on Crimson Nightmare itself with a much easier time as there will no longer be any enemies to interfere with the fight.
In order to defeat Crimson Nightmare, you first have to bring down the cube to the ground by using your Force Current skill on the cube itself. This should dissipate the orange mist surrounding it and drop the cube on the ground, giving us a huge opening to burst out damage and perform your most powerful moves.

The Scarlet Blades Gas Mask allows you to become immune to confusion, which is a damage over time status effect that Crimson Nightmare frequently inflicts throughout the fight. Make sure to equip the Gas Mask before the fight so you no longer have to worry about getting inflicted with confusion.
Take note that the Scarlet Blades Gas Mask can drop from the nearby enemies in Fort Perwin. Try to target farm the Scarlet Blades Gas Mask before taking on Crimson Nightmare to make this boss fight easier.
| Move | Details |
|---|---|
| Crimson Dive | Crimson Nightmare launches itself into the air and dives into the ground to deliver a slam attack that can knock you down. Try to dodge roll to the side once it jumps into the air to avoid this move since it can easily leave you vulnerable to other attacks. |
| Crushing Shot | Crimson Nightmare winds up and slams the ground to send out multiple projectiles in a cone in front of it. Watch out for the mist and make sure to jump as soon as it slams the ground to avoid the projectiles. |

You can find Crimson Nightmare at Fort Perwin in the Hernand region where you need to defeat the boss to complete the Continuing Concern faction quest and liberate the area.
