Path of Trials Puzzle Solution

Use Heat to Thaw the Cores

Step How to Solve

Kliff Flying Over the Moving Platforms marked
Once you arrive in the Path of Trials, jump or fly over the moving platforms to reach and activate the Abyss Nexus.

Kliff Lighting a Lantern
You'll see a small lake and notice your temperature drop. Light a lantern to preserve warmth.

You take damage or restrictions in extreme temperatures. Learn more in the Temperature Guide.

Kliff by a Lake and the Chamber of Path of Trials
Enter the chambers above. You may climb the rocks, use jump and Force Palm, or use Axiom Force grapple to reach the entrance.

Kliff of the Chamber Entrance
Turn left from the chamber entrance and continue straight to a narrow opening towards an outdoor power mechanism.

Pull out the core from its slot using Axiom Force. Use the rotate function to pull it out, not the push/pull function.

This will deactivate a barrier which will be handy for the next step.

Go up the next platform and you'll see a frozen power piece. Grab the piece towards inside the chamber to thaw it.

The doorway barrier here is now deactivated from the last step.

Kliff Looking Over Piece in Lava
Dunk the frozen power piece in lava to thaw it. You may need to drop it completely in the lava until it thaws and glows.

Then, return the piece to its slot.

Kliff Clinging Onto the Platform
Find the circular platform above. Use Force Palm on its center to restore the abyss and complete the challenge.

Using fire and heat to thaw the cores and warm yourself is the key in completing and traversing through the puzzle.
