Gold Bar Under the Fireplace

Lioncrest Manor in Hernand Town has a hidden gold bar under its fireplace. You’ll need to head to the back of the building and climb through a window to enter, since the guards won’t let you in through the front entrance.

Equip your mask and face the fireplace, which will now have a Steal option. Make sure no one catches you, or you’ll be thrown in jail and lose money. Try visiting the manor during the day, when only guards roam the area, instead of both guards and nobles at night. On the bright side, you won’t lose the gold bar you acquired after detention.

Do note that the gold bar respawns after a set number of days. If you find yourself short on funds, you can return to Lioncrest Manor and simply loot it again.

How to Steal Items

Make Sure to Complete Bruna's Request to Despawn the NPCs

Bruna

If you visit during the day and there are still 3 NPCs parked in front of the fireplace then that means you have not yet completed Bruna's Request. Make sure to complete it first in order to despawn ng NPCs. This should leave just 2 guards to deal with when you try stealing the gold bar during the day.

How to Use Gold Bars

Exchange at the Bank for 500 Silver

Gold Bar to Silver

Gold bars can be exchanged for 500 silver at banks, and vice versa. You should never sell gold bars to merchants, since they only give you 190 silver. Speak with the banker and choose the option to exchange 1 Gold Bar to 500 Silver.
