Stamina
|
Energy consumed when performing actions such as dodging or moving. How to Unlock: Spend Abyss Artifacts to upgrade it to a max of 14. |
| Spirit | Power consumed to execute skills and special actions. How to Unlock: Spend Abyss Artifacts to upgrade it to a max of 12. |
Health
|
Endure damage taken during combat How to Unlock: Spend Abyss Artifacts to upgrade it to a max of 18. |
The best way to spend your skill points early on is to invest it in Stamina, Health, and Spirit as these will drastically improve your combat experience and exploration capabilities. Ideally, you want to priortize Stamina first, as this affects both your combat efficiency and exploration in the open world. Take Health as a second priority in case you have trouble taking on certain Bosses and liberating Blockaded areas.
It is best to only take Spirit once you reach mid-game as this will be a point where you need to use multiple Skills with Spirit costs to efficiently take on difficult enemies.

|---|---|
Dodge
|
Input evade just before being hit to escape danger. How to Unlock: Raise Keen Senses to Lv. 2. |
Dodge is one of the best skills to get early on, as this provides you with a perfect dodge that slows down time when timed correctly against enemy attacks. Make sure to get Keen Senses Level 2, as this will unlock the perfect dodge mechanic for Kliff.

|---|---|
Nature's Retribution
|
During Nature's Snare, lash out with the energy stored while focused. How to Unlock: Raise Nature's Snare to Lv. 2. |
Nature's Retribution is a great skill for dealing with projectiles from certain Bosses and flying enemies by reflecting their projectiles back at them. Take note that you need to level up Nature's Snare to Level 2 so you can start reflecting projectiles with ease.

|---|---|
Aerial Maneuver
|
Lock onto a target, then jump to leap a great distance using the Axiom Force. How to Unlock: Raise Axiom Force to Lv. 2. |
The Aerial Maneuver skill enables you to attach to elevated walls and ledges using your Axiom Bracelet. This is incredibly useful for exploration and dealing with specific Bosses such as Kearush the Slayer.
| Skill | Description |
|---|---|
Nature's Echo
|
Creates an illusion that replicates your attacks. How to Unlock: Level up Keen Senses to Lv. 3 and Forward Slash to Lv. 3. Then, spend 1 Abyss Artifact to unlock this skill. Alternatively, you can observe the skill in action to learn it. |
Nature's Echo is the best combat skill to get in the early game, as this enables your attacks to have an additional hit. The additional hit not only provides us with more damage, but also comes with additional Stagger damage to quickly build up the Stagger bar against Bosses and stun them for a big opening.
| Skill | Description |
|---|---|
Lariat
|
Slam your enemy into the ground with overwhelming force. How to Unlock: Raise Grappling to Lv. 2. |
Lariat is a fan favorite for most players, as this skill allows you to grapple your enemy to the ground. This is especially effective against a group of enemies since Lariat can knock down other nearby enemies next to the one you grappled.
| Skill | Description |
|---|---|
Forward Slash
|
Take a strong step forward and deliver a powerful slash. How to Unlock: Unlocked by default. Spend 1 Abyss Artifact per level to max it out at Lv. 3. |
The Forward Slash is our basic heavy attack for Kliff. We recommend using this over your Light attack as it practically has the same animation speed with more damage and can close gaps between ranged enemies.
| Skill | Description |
|---|---|
Turning Slash
Lv. 2 |
Perform a spinning overhead strike that sends enemies flying. How to Unlock: Unlocked by default. Spend 1 Abyss Artifact per level to max it out at Lv. 3. |
Turning Slash is the ideal skill to use once you stun a Boss after filling up their Stagger bar in the middle of the fight. This works well with the Momentum Abyss Gear as it provides us with a 35% damage increase to the skill itself.
Make sure to get Turning Slash Lv. 2 as this should enable you to quickcast the skill more often.

|---|---|
Blinding Flash Finisher
|
While enemies are blinded by Blinding Flash, rush in and deliver a rapid flurry of strikes. How to Unlock: Spend 1 Abyss Artifact or unlock it by observing the skill in action. |
Blinding Flash Finisher is the best combo skill to get early in the game due to the high amount of damage it can deal against any situation.
Keep in mind that this skill costs 5 Spirit to use, so make sure you have a few points invested in your Spirit stat to maximize your usage of the skill.

|---|---|
Focused Shot
|
While aiming your bow, use Focus then fire up to 4 shots. Each level invested in this skill increases the maximum number of shots by two. How to Unlock: Level up both Marksmanship and Focus to Lv. 2. Then, spend 1 Abyss Artifact to unlock this skill. |
Lastly, Focus Shot is a great utility skill for taking on certain puzzles in the Abyss and difficult Bosses you can find as you progress through the game. Use this skill often to slow down time while aiming and enable you to rapidly fire 4 arrows in quick succession.
