Unlock Keen Senses

You can obtain Perfect Dodge by unlocking the second level of Keen Senses . Note that this requires an Abyss Artifact, so consider whether you want to prioritize it early on or wait until later.

Evade Just Before the Enemy Hits You

You can perform a perfect dodge by using Evade at the exact moment before an enemy attack connects. A green flash will appear to confirm that a *Perfect Dodge was executed and not just a regular dodge.

The timing is quite similar to a parry, but it's much safer since, even if you miss the timing, you'll still perform a regular dodge and have a decent chance of avoiding damage.

The evade button is Alt on PC, Circle on PS5, and B on XBOX by default.

Perfect Dodge Tips

Enables Follow-Up Attacks

A Perfect Dodge allows you to perform a follow-up attack like Turning Slash afterwards, then continue your normal combo.

However, a Perfect Dodge does not stun enemies or interrupt their combos. Therefore, exercise caution when performing follow-up attacks after perfect dodges so you don't get caught in the enemy's attacks.

Regains Lost Stamina

Perfect dodging regains a portion of lost stamina when executed, just like parrying. This provides enough stamina to perform the follow-up attacks that you can execute, or any other action that you want to do that requires stamina.

This makes Perfect Dodging great to use in areas with extreme climates that penalize stamina regeneration.
