There are 12 chapters in Crimson Desert and a prologue. The story begins with the Dead of Night Prologue, where Kliff’s Greymane camp is invaded by the Black Bears. Afterwards, the journey expands to the rest of Pywel in the following chapters.

Main Quests are Marked Oranged on the Map

The map displays orange markers that indicate the next main quest steps, which lead to the general area of the main quest step. Silver markers and areas represent Faction Quests or Side Quests that can be completed outside the main story.

List of Side Quests

Utlize the Lantern and Blinding Flash

Use Blinding Flash or the Lantern to highlight nearby points of interest. It can provide clues about what you might be missing or where to go, and show clues for a puzzle solutions or a hidden items.

Some Quests Need Time to Pass

Some quests require you to pass time. If you need to wait within the same day, you can usually press the Pass Time button that appears on the right side of the screen.

Some quests require you to come back after a few days. To do this, rest to pass time and complete other activities in the meantime.

How to Pass Time

Unlock Fast Travel Points

Activate and unlock fast travel Abyss Nexus points as soon as possible, as some quests require you to travel back and forth between different areas. This saves you a lot of time from traveling the great distances.

How to Fast Travel

Do Side Content if Bosses Get Too Hard

Some main story bosses can be very tough and be too hard to beat. If you are stuck, it is best to step back and complete side content to get stronger. Improve your gear and unlock more skills before coming back in the future.
