Use Blinding Flash to Cancel His Attacks
The best way to defeat Antumbra's Sword is by using Blinding Flash on him to cancel his Ground Thrust and triple Shadow Strike. For his Ground Thrust that sends out multiple sword waves around him, use Blinding Flash as soon as he lifts up his sword with both of his hands. For his triple Shadow Strike that teleports around, use Blinding Flash on him after dodging the third teleport attack to cancel his combo.
Use the Pillar to Bait Him for a Blinding Flash Finisher
Additionally, you can also make use of the nearby pillar as cover against his melee attacks since he cannot destroy this pillar with any of his attacks. Once you blind him, make sure you follow up with a Blinding Flash Finisher as this allows you to close the gap between you and seamlessly perform a powerful combo with huge damage.

Dodge the Triple Illusion Strike
Antumbra's Sword can be a difficult boss due to his multiple sword attacks that can summon apparitions and send out sword waves throughout the arena. We highly recommmend perfect dodging the Triple Illusion Strike or any illusion attacks he performs as this can easily shave off a huge chunk of your health and possibly one-shot you if you are not prepared.
Additionally, having the Keen Senses Lv. 2 skill unlocked should help you perform dodges easier as it allows you to slow down time whenever you perform a dodge.
Use Stab to Inflicting Bleed
Whenever you have an opening against Antumbra's Sword, you can make use of the Stab skill which is incredibly useful for inflcting damage over time for a duration. As soon as you parry one of his melee attacks, charge up your Stab skill and execute it to deal consistent damage while waiting for another opening.

| Triple Illusion Strike | Antumbra's Sword performs a wide sweeping slash in front of him and sends out three apparitions to leap towards you and perform a downward slash that sends out sword waves. You can block his first sweeping slash, but we recommend dodging the three apparition attacks since it can deal a large amount of damage. |
| Shadow Strike | Antumbra's Sword emits a black mist and teleports to a different positions within the arena to perform a wide sweeping slash. Watch for his sword and as soon as he lifts it behind him, start parrying to completely cancel the attack and provide you a short opening for damage. |

You can find Antumbra's Sword at Sanctum of Absolution in the Hernand region where you need to defeat the boss to complete the Cloister of Ruination faction quest and liberate the area.
