Early Game Abyss Gears

Abyss Core	Effect
Wind Slash	・Unleashes forward a blade of wind that cuts through enemies.
Momentum	・+35% Turning Slash Damage
Vigor I	・Stamina Regen +2%
Gourmet III	・Food Effect Lv +3

The best Abyss Gears to get in the early game are Wind Slash to provide us with a useful Skill, Vigor to give us more stamina regeneration, and Gourmet to enhance our food effects with more healing for Health, Stamina, or Spirit. These Abyss Gears allow you to enhance your gameplay and playstyle with additional stats and Skills for min-maxing your equipment.

Take note that you need Sockets on your equipment in order to equip these Abyss Gears. These Sockets need to be unlocked by talking to Elowen and choosing the Create Socket option for your equipment.

These Abyss Gears are useful for maximizing your stats but can be subjective towards your own playstyle and progress. Swift is great once you get it to Attack Speed Lv. 5 to significantly increase your attack speed, while Aegis and Vitality are excellent defensive Abyss Gears to help with your survivability.

Lastly, Frostward will help you combat cold temperatures once you make it reach Ice Resistance Lv. 5. This can be swapped out with other elemental resistance Abyss Gears depending on your situation.
