Deepfog Basin Pillars Puzzle Solution
Match The Pillar Heights to the Leftmost Pillar

 Save and reload the game. To solve the puzzle using our solution, it's strongly recommended to reset the puzzle by saving and reloading the game. This makes you spawn at a nearby altar where you can retry the puzzle from the start.

 Use the Stab One-Handed Sword Skill to interact with with rotating pedestal at the center of the ruins. There are 4 slots you can embed your blade into, with each one controlling a different set of pillars to move. The goal is to move the 4 right-most pillar to match the height of the pillar to the left.

 With the Abyss Cresset serving as the 12 o'clock direction, use stab on the pedestal from the 12 oclock slot and move Pillars 1, 2, and 3 halfway up to the left pillar.

 Use the slot in the 5 oclock position to move Pillars 1 and 4 upwards with Pillar 1 matching the leftmost immovable pillar, and Pillar 4 matching the height of Pillars 2 and 3.

 Now use stab on the slot on the 12 oclock position to move Pillars 2, 3, and 4, upwards to match their height with Pillar 1 and the leftmost pillar.

Rotate the pedestal in the middle to match all of the pillars' height to the leftmost pillar to solve the puzzle.
Use the Stab skill on the pedestal to move the pillars' height. There are 4 slots you can embed your blade into, with each one controlling a different set of pillars to move.
Another Five-Pillar Puzzle in Duskwood
Aside from an additional step, an identical puzzle can be found in Duskwood, which also requires you to match all five pillars' heights.

This location will be labeled on the map as a Mysterious Energy. Additionally, other Mysterious Energy found on your map can either be Secret Places, or Ancient Ruins.
