Use Lariat Follow-Up to Buildup Stagger

The best way to defeat Ludvig is by using the Lariat Follow-Up skill upgrade to inflict high Stagger buildup and easily stun him to provide you with an opening for burst damage. Ideally, we want to use two heavy attacks and a Force Palm before we use the Lariat Follow-Up as our last combo to optimize our damage output throughout the fight.
Once you stagger him, charge up and use Turning Slash to deal huge burst damage and shave off a chunk of his health. Make sure you have the Momentum abyss core equipped to further maximize the damage output of Turning Slash.
Deflect with Nature's Snare During His 2nd Phase
Once you reach his 2nd phase, Ludvig will become difficult to track as he imbues himself with lightning to quickly dash around arena. We recommend using Nature's Snare Lv. 3 whenever he performs his Double Lightning Bolt with his hands so you can easily deflect his attacks and return them back to him for damage.
It is also ideal to use Focus during his 2nd phase since it allows you to regenerate Spirit and slow down time to help you react to his next attack. Additionally, make sure to follow-up with Force Palm after deflecting with Nature's Retribution so you can cancel his combo and send out a high stagger damage attack.
Use Blinding Flash to Cancel His Superamor Move
Blinding Flash is an incredibly useful skill for canceling Superarmor moves that can not be typically cancelled by regular attacks and skills. Make sure to perform this move often even during the Superarmor move itself as this is a great way to avoid any powerful attacks.
Equip and Use Lightning Resistance Items
Most of Ludvig's attacks can deal lightning damage to inflict you with a long stun for around 4 seconds. Make sure to equip gear and use food items that provides Lightning Resistance so you can reach at least a Lightning Resistance Lv. 5 to help you become immune to the lightning buildup and survive his relentless attacks.

| Lightning Shower | Ludvig retreats and charges up to send out seven lightning projectiles towards you and repeats them three times. As soon as Ludvig retreats, keep your distance and use Nature's Snare Lv. 3 to return the projectiles back to them and follow up with an enhanced Force Palm for high stagger damage. |
| Blade Combo | Ludvig winds up his lightning blades behind him and quickly dashes towards you to execute a flurry of sword attacks. Due to the large amount of hits, it is relatively easy to parry this move to cancel his combo and provide you an opening for burst damage. |

| Great Lightning Sword | Ludvig creates a large greatsword out of lightning and performs two overhead slashes that sends out three lasers in a line at the end. Observe his greatsword and dodge as soon as he swings it down to avoid the sword attacks. You can dodge to the side one more time to avoid the three laser projectiles at the end. |
