This is a guide on how to make the best beast party in Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH). To know the pros and cons of making an all-beast party and which beast units are the best to use, read on!
List of Contents
The biggest asset of beast units is that they can move up to 3 spaces when they transform.
This is a huge advantage, especially with flying beast units, as they can cross mountains and rivers.
Each beast unit has their own weapon and each one is unique with their own effect.
For instance, Hawk King Claw guarantees a follow-up attack and Nightmare Horn reduces damage from enemy units.
Since you're running an all-beast party, everyone in the team is guaranteed to transform and gain the full benefits of their beast forms.
There's not a lot of beast units available in the game currently, so options are limited.
Furthermore, not a lot of them are easy to obtain and many are locked at 5★, so forming a full party may take some time.
Beast units take 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance or Picnic Flora's Sæhrímnir.
They are also vulnerable to Specials that are effective against dragons like Ruptured Sky.
When creating a beast party, it's helpful to have one dancer that will not only give their allies another action, but will also grant them buffs.
There are several skills that beast units can use to buff either themselves and their allies.
At start of turn, grants Def/Res+6 to adjacent beast allies for 1 turn. |
Grants Def/Res+4 to beast allies within 2 spaces during combat. |
At start of turn, grants Atk/Spd+6 to adjacent beast allies for 1 turn. |
Grants Atk/Spd+4 to beast allies within 2 spaces during combat. |
These skills synergize very well in an all-beast party, as they increase their overall durability and firepower.

This party uses mostly flying units, with Freyja acting as a big source of damage and a pseudo-tank.
Use Tibarn or Naesala to close great distances and attack your enemies.
If they're brought to low HP, you can take advantage of Wings of Mercy 3 and have the rest swoop in for cleanup.
Paired with Galeforce on both Tibarn and Naesala, maps will be cleared fairly quickly.
Since every beast unit comes with their own unique weapon, it's best to use skills that synergize with it.
For instance, Naesala's assest is his Spd, so giving him Atk/Spd Solo 4 on his A slot, and Atk/Spd Solo 3 as his Saced Seal will boost his firepower.
If you're running a support unit, you can give them various skills that will help buff their allies.
Kaden's weapon buffs his allies according to his own bonuses.
He already comes with Goad Beasts, so you can equip the rest of his teammates with skills like Hone Beasts and Fortify Beasts to also give him buffs and maximize on his weapon.

Tibarn has a lot of firepower and decent Def, making him a good candidate for Galeforce.
His weapon also gives him a guaranteed follow up attack, so paired with Heavy Blade 3 as his Sacred Seal, he can get his Special up in no time.

New Year Kaden Builds and Best IVs
New Year Kaden's weapon checks for both the enemy unit's HP and their Spd.
If his foe's HP is ≥ 75%, he gets Spd+5 and will inflict Spd-5 to that foe. If his Spd is higher, he deals damage equal to 70% of the difference between his Spd and his foe's Spd.
He's very fast, so triggering this won't be much of a problem.

Keaton's weapon is a brave weapon, meaning he can attack twice when he initiates combat.
With Special Spiral 3 and a low cooldown Special like Moonbow means that Keaton will be able to trigger it every combat.

Naesala's asset is his Spd, and if his Spd is higher, his weapon deals damage equal to 70% of the difference between his Spd and his foe's Spd.

Selkie's weapon grants her bonuses to her Atk/Spd/Def/Res if her Res is higher than her foe's Res and if her foe is melee.
This is a bit of a detriment, because she won't be effective against ranged units, as her weapon will not trigger. She could still be a decent tank against magic users, however, due to her high Res.

Nailah's weapon accelerates her Special trigger and will grant buffs to her Atk and Spd depending on the number of allies she has within 2 spaces.

Panne's weapon is effective against cavalry units and if she is transformed and initiates combat, her foe cannot make a follow-up attack.
This makes her a good cavalry killer, but she is also classified as a cavalry unit, so be careful of units with cavalry-effective weapons!

As previously mentioned, Kaden's weapon buffs his allies according to his own bonuses. If he's transformed and he initiates an attack, his foe will also be unable to make a follow-up attack.
Giving his allies buff skill will increase the overall number of buffs that Kaden can give, making him a solid support unit that can also go on the offensive.

Freyja's weapon allows her to counterattack regardless of range and if her Spd is higher, it reduces damage from enemy units that attack her.
Her Binding Necklace also buffs her Atk/Spd/Def/Res her if she's not adjacent to any allies and will also buff those stats if her foe has bonuses to those stats.
She'll not only add her foe's bonuses to her own stats, but will convert those bonuses into penalties duing combat.
This makes Freyja deceptively tanky and with very high firepower.

Ranulf also makes a good support unit, as his weapon grants Atk/Def+3 to him and his allies within 2 spaces.

Caineghis's weapon is made for enemy-phase, granting him Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 if an enemy unit initiates combat. And if he's transformed, he can counterattack regardless of range.
Due to him being colorless, his weapon effects make Caineghis an effective tank, as he'll be able to absorb damage and counter if they're ranged without worrying about weapon-triangle disavantage.
He can also bypass armor-effective weapons if he's given Svalinn Shield.

Pirate Tibarn Builds and Best IVs
Pirate Tibarn works similarly to his original version in that his weapon gives him a guaranteed follow up attack.
However, it has the added benefit of accelerating his Special trigger, and paired with Heavy Blade 4, will make him trigger Galeforce very quickly so he can take out multiple units in one turn.
This makes him better than his original version in terms of firepower, so he's a very good unit to invest in.
