The best IVs for Performing Shigure are +Atk and -Spd. Though mainly a refresher-assist support, Performing Shigure, regardless if he uses an alternative tome or the default Dancer's Score+, will find himself in situations wherein he needs to attack opponents. This makes a +Atk IV a great option for Performing Shigure.

Performing Shigure is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Performing Shigure Strengths

Refreshes his allies' actions

Dance is an assist skill that allows the target ally to take another action. Because of this, your allies can move and attack twice to take down foes, or attack and move back to the safe zone so that they won't be taken out during the enemy phase. It has high strategic value and it allows Shigure to become a part of many team compositions.

Dancer's Score provides heals!

Dancer's Score heals allies adjacent to Shigure when he initiates attacks This makes base kit Performing flexible and versatile as he can both heal, and attack on top of having the ability to refresh allies. You can say that this weapon separates Performing Shigure from other dancers. He can also go on a full-blown Breath of Life build that allows him to dish-out lots of heals!

Can increase his allies' Def and Res stats with Sing

His B skill Geyser Dance 3 will give a +4 Def/Res buff to the target of Sing or Dance. This is a useful support skill for a refresher unit like Performing Shigure to have. It stacks with the Sacred Seal equivalents of Fireflood Dance, Rockslide Dance and the other variants of this skill. Performing Shigure can take advantage of that and be able to give off huge buffs when refreshing his allies.

Very useful for building other blue tome units

Performing Shigure's C skill B Tome Valor will allow all blue tome members on the same party to gain 2x SP. This will make building your other blue tome units and learning their skills extremely quick and painless. If done on the weekends where a 2x SP multiplier is already in effect, or when a unit is receiving some kind of 2x bonus from an event or blessing, these bonuses stack, which will allow a blue tome unit to gain a ton of SP in no time.

Performing Shigure Weaknesses

Low Stats

To balance Shigure's versatility, he is cursed with very low stats. Offenses should not really concern you, but you should pay attention to his defenses. Because of his versatility, his presence is very important for your team and getting him taken out early is a huge blow to your team. Please be mindful of Shigure's positioning in relation to enemies that can easily take him out! Only put him in the frontlines if he needs to heal an ally with his weapon!

Cannot deal damage to high-Def units

Because of his low offensive stats, he will be unable to deal significant enough damage to high-Res units like Deirdre. Though Shigure is mainly used as a support, if you need him to dish out damage from time to time, consider investing heavily in him.
