This is a guide for the reconstruction of Colony 6 in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (XC1). If you are wondering how to go about restoring Colony 6 to its former glory, read on to find out what each category does and how to level them up!

Once you reach the Sororal Statues in Satorl Marsh and head on towards the Bionis’ Interior, Juju and Otharon will return to Colony 6 to begin reconstruction. At this point the inner portion of Colony 6’s map will be opened up and you can begin this questline by approaching Otharon. Your first task is completing The Road Home side quest by taking out 6 Black Smoke Hox on Raguel Bridge, allowing the Colony 6 refugees safe passage. Once you’ve completed the quest you will automatically be in Colony 6 in front of the Reconstruction HQ. Speak with Juju to begin restoring Colony 6.
Using gold and materials you find throughout the game world you will work to level up 4 different categories that will add a variety of buildings and features to the colony. They are as follows:
The higher your Housing level, you will be able to invite more people to come live in Colony 6 from all over the Bionis.
New shops will be available depending on your Commerce level.
With a higher Nature level, crystals obtained in the mine will be higher ranked.
The completion rate will rise much more with a higher Special level and the amount of collectables in the area will also increase.
All of this info can be checked at any time from the Quest Log by pressing the - button.
After you reach a certain point in the game, all of the required materials and collectables will become available for purchase from the Nopon Archsage with Noponstone in the Time Attack area.

In the commerce materials it says you need the Hode Plank ×2 for lvl 2. I've looked it up and you actually need 3 of those.
