Tips and Strategies

Use Topple Against Mechons

Without the Monado, the only way to hurt Mechons with your weapons is to Topple them after inflicting Break. This requires teamwork between Shulk and Reyn.

Do Not Fight The Mechons in the First Run Through The Commercial District

These Mechons cannot be beaten due to the fact that your weapons are ineffective against them without making them Topple. Later on you will be able to fight them with the Monado, but for now, just run past them.

Enchant Your Allies' Weapons

Use Enchant to make sure your allies do damage to the Mechons.

Boss Strategy Guide

Metal Face

Unlike normal Mechon, this boss cannot be defeated simply by using the Monado.

Topple Metal Face using Chain Attacks

Because Metal Face is large, you need to topple it using chain attacks.

No Need to Completely Defeat Metal Face

Metal Face is not meant to be defeated completely, so simply try to defeat him and wait for the cutscene to play afterwards.
