When you hear Mechons, Shulk is the man for the job. Shulk's Enchant allows your team to lay waste to the Mechons mixed with the regular enemies every wave without relying on toppling them.

Their damage output is high and their Chain Attacks combo well with Shulk. Giving them Enchant allows your team to demolish the Mechons like cutting through butter.
Enchant will last throughout the fight, so make sure to quickly build up your talent gauge and use it immediately. This can be done with Stream Edge and Battle Eye (assuming you have it), then auto-attacking to make the difference. Other than that, just maintain your allies' HP with Light Heal and this challenge should be a breeze.

Start the fight by using Stream Edge and Battle Soul to quickly fill up the Talent Gauge. Hit the enemy a few times, then quickly cast Enchant. Lay waste to the enemies of the first wave and use Light Heal to your allies when needed.

Use your Chain Attack if available to quickly reduce the enemy numbers. Using Buster is also great, since this wave has two Mechons instead of one.

Use a Chain Attack against Mechon M64X if available. If not, target the Colony Lizards to fill your party gauge. The Colony Lizards sports little HP, so eliminating them shouldn't be a daunting task.
