Third Wheel General Tips

Fiora will come with the Shutdown art during this challenge. This might tempt you to make enemies sleep then focus on the others, but this is a bad strategy time-wise. Focus on using Area Abilities such as Double Wind and Sword Drones to get a fast time completion.

You can get an S rank by completing the challenge below the 4:30 mark.

Wave 1 Enemies and Strategies

Immediately use Second Gear, then follow it by Double WInd to immediately reduce their HP by 1/5. Command your allies to focus on one target, then focus your arts on it except Cross impact (only use Cross Impact when an enemy is toppled). When a Chain Attack becomes available, use Second Gear (if available) before using a Chain Attack, then use the arts Double Wind, Element Discharge, then Soaring Tempest to severely damage the remaining enemies.

Dispatch the stragglers while conserving your party gauge for the next wave.

Wave 2 Enemies and Strategies

Repeat the same strategy used from the first wave. It is much more effective during this wave due to their quantity. Do try and fill your Talent gauge as well by auto-attacking so you can use it for the 3rd wave.

Wave 3 Enemies and Strategies

You will want to let them stay in place, so avoid walking around to hit them in the back with Double Blade. When a Chain Attack becomes available, use Second Gear, then use the Chain Attack starting with Double Wind. If the Chain Attack is able to rotate back to Fiora, end it with her talent art Cannon Drones.

If everything went well, the rest will be smooth sailing, and obtaining the S rank is pretty much guaranteed.
