The epilogue chapter of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (Future Connected) was revealed to be about 10 ~ 12 hours, or about 20 hours total with side quests and all content factored in. This means that the story / epilogue of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will take a new player about 60 ~ 80 hours to complete.

On May 7, 2020, a new video explaining features present in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition was released on Nintendo's Official Youtube Channel.
New Features Revealed in the Nintendo Direct
In a tweet from Nintendo of America on May 2, 2020, it was revealed that the game will allow you to use both the original and remastered version of the Xenoblade Chronicles soundtrack. While playing, you will be allowed to switch between both versions, so you can compare old with new and see which you like better!
On April 3rd, 2020, the official Nintendo Twitter Page revealed the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition box art for the Nintendo Switch. The game boasts 90+ remastered music tracks, improved visuals & gameplay, and an all-new epilogue story: Future Connected. The box art is shown below.
This new addition to the Switch version of Xenoblade Chronicles will feature both Shulk and Melia, and will take place after the main story. However, according to the following tweet from Nintendo, it will be playable immediately, even if you haven't yet finished the main story.
Veterans of the game may enjoy hopping straight into the brand new content before replaying the main story.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: Remake or Remaster?
On March 26th, 2020, Nintendo's official Youtube page released a Mini Direct, which gives a quick summary of some of the new features that will be present in the updated Switch remake of Xenoblade Chronicles.
A collector's edition of the game, titled Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Works Set will also be available for physical purchase. This upgraded set includes the game, as well as an art book that contains 250 pages of game illustrations. It will be made available at the same time as the standard release.
The bundle will go for $79.99 USD (plus tax). It can be found at Gamestop, Amazon, Target, as well as Best Buy, although it is currently sold out by most retailers.

Xenoblade Chronicles Switch Remake Release Date
On Sep 4, 2019, Nintendo released the Official Trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, an HD remake for the Nintendo Switch of the first game in the Xenoblade series. The video announced that the remake would be released some time in 2020.
