9 Summon and Defeat The Elder

Defeating The Elder will reward you and your allies with a Swamp Key. The number of dropped keys correspond to the number of players in the server, ensuring that no one leaves empty handed!

Use this key to unlock the Sunken Crypts in Part Three of this Walkthrough & Progression Guide and get your first taste of Iron!

Part 3: The Swamp and Bonemass

Key Objectives

1 Build a Cauldron and Fermenter in your Base
2 Stock up on Poison Resistance Mead
3 Look for and explore the Swamp Biome
4 Gather Scrap Iron and Withered Bones from Sunken Crypts
5 Craft Iron Tools, Weapons, and Armor
5 Summon and Defeat Bonemass

Defeating Bonemass rewards you and your allies with the Wishbone. Similar to the Elder's Swamp Key, The number of Wishbones dropped correspond to the number of players within the server, making sure that no one leaves the fight empty handed.

Use the Wishbone to uncover hidden treasures across the realm of Valheim. This item is also used to detect Silver Deposits in Mountain biomes, making it an essential tool for Part Four of this Walkthrough & Progression guide!

2 Search for Silver Ore in the mountains
3 Craft the Wolf Armor pieces and Drake Helmet
4 Search the mountains for three Dragon Eggs
5 Summon and Defeat Moder

Defeating Moder rewards you and your allies with Dragon Tears. This crafting item is used to build the Artisan Table, an essential crafting station used as a requirement for the Spinning Wheel.

The Spinning Wheel enables players to refine Flax into Linen Threads, a crucial crafting material for Part Five of this Walkthrough & Progression Guide

6 Summon and Defeat Yagluth

Yagluth is the currently the fifth and final boss of Valheim. Defeating Yagluth essentially means you've beaten the game in its current state!

This particular boss drops Yagluth Things, peculiar placeholder items with no known use.
