This is a guide on the edge of the world in Valheim! Learn more about what is at the edge of the world, what beyond the edge, where it is, and how to get your stuff back if you die there!
List of Contents
If you're wondering what borders the world of Valheim, it is simply a literal edge. This edge is along the ocean, creating a waterfall that will kill you if you go over it. You can try avoiding it, but this can be difficult if you notice the edge too late as there is a strong current that will drag your ship towards it!
If you use cheats and turn on god mode with the command god you can survive falling at the edge of the world. You'll end up in an empty Ashland biome that seems to go on with nothing besides an occasional Surtling. Learn more about using cheats in the guide below!
The edge of the world will always be along the ocean and never along the land. If you want to find the edge, it's as easy as sailing through the ocean in one direction, going around any land if need be until you reach it.
Besides sailing and finding the edge yourself, you can also use the cheat exploremap, this will show the entire map for you. Now you can see the edge of the world on your map!
If you die falling over the edge of the world, your items with you would be gone for good. That is if you do not use any cheats. Using the Debug Mode with the command debugmode will allow you to go into flying mode and fly down the edge to find your tombstone and retrieve your valuable items!
