Early Game in Valheim can get rough — Resources are few, while enemies are plenty (especially at night). The Stagbreaker offers much needed crowd control and AoE damage early on.
This makes it an effective secondary weapon against those Greyling or Greydwarf patrols that prowl the Meadows and Black Forest biomes at night. It is also surprisingly cheap to craft as well!
Core Wood is easy to get early on because Pine Trees only require a Stone Axe to be chopped. Consider doing quick trips within Black Forest biomes early on to gather at least 20 Core Wood for the Stagbreaker — Make sure you avoid Trolls as much as possible while you're there as well!
After securing 20 Core Wood, obtaining the required Leather Scraps and Deer Trophies for the Stagbreaker should be a piece of cake since can be safely farmed within Meadows biomes.
Item Name | How to Get |
---|---|
Core Wood x20 | Chop Pine trees in the Black Forest biome. |
Leather Scraps x2 | Obtained from Boars, Chests, or Muddy Scrap Piles in Sunken Crypts. |
Deer Trophy x5 | Enemy Drop from Deer. |
If you don't mind using cheats to obtain it, the Stagbreaker can easily be spawned with the console command.
To spawn the item, first turn on cheat codes by typing devcommands in the F5 console, and use the spawn SledgeStagbreaker command to create the item.
