How to Get Scrap Iron

Get them in Muddy Scrap Piles in Crypts

You can get Scrap Iron by mining Muddy Scrap Piles found in Crypt dungeons inside the Swamp biome. We recommend carrying multiple pickaxes because these piles can eat up durability fast! Mining Muddy Scraps will only give you a chance to obtain Iron Scraps, along with other drops in the pile like Leather Scraps and Withered Bones.

Becuase there is only a chance of dropping Scrap Iron, you can be unlucky and have difficulty in getting enough Iron Scraps to meet your needs.
