Patch 1.05 Release Date

Patch 1.05, which is the game's first post-launch update, was released on all platforms on April 9th, 2021.

General Patch Notes

• Overall stability improvements for matchmaking & multiplayer
• Default matchmaking setting has been changed from "Open" to "Closed"
• Fixed crash on launch issues
• Fixed the crash when completing the "A Bad Day" side quest
• Many more "random" crash fixes
• Fixed the HUD disappearing in certain cases
• Fixed bugs that interfere with players re-spawning in multiplayer Expeditions
• Fixed bugs with players getting stuck on geometry or falling out of the world
• Many other minor fixes and improvements

PC Specific Patch Notes

• Fixed a performance issue where GPU is not being fully utilized. This should help with stuttering and DX11/12 issues

Inventory Wipe Bug

Since the release of Patch 1.05, some players have encountered a bug where their inventories have been wiped. The developers already addressed the issue with Patch 1.06, but are still working on restoring the items of those who had their inventories wiped with this patch.

Inventory Restoration Roll Out

To those affected by the Inventory Wipe Bug, the developers have rolled out a fix to restore everyone's items.

According to an official Reddit post, the Restoration will be rolled out in three batches: Group A, Group B, and Group C.

Below are details that distinguish each group:

• Group A - These characters lost gear and were no longer playable (“Couldn’t Connect to Server” error when logging in). Most affected players will be in this group.
• Group B - These characters lost gear but were still playable. Players may have continued playing on these characters since the wipe. These cases are far more difficult to conclusively identify en-masse but are fewer in number.
• Group C - These are essentially all other players in the Outriders gaming population who did not encounter an inventory wipe. This is important to note as we want to ensure that our restoration efforts do not inadvertently impact them as well.

As of this writing, the developers have confirmed that most, if not all, in Group A have already had their items restored.

Restoration for Groups B and C are still underway and is expected to be complete over the next few days.
