Beat's Soundsurfing Psych allows you to sprint and move faster while free roaming. Simply tap B (Switch) or X (PS4) in order to dash forward while going around Shibuya. Rapidly tap the respective button in order to dash consecutively. Time the tap with the music symbol that appears below you in order to sprint faster.
Soundsurfing with Beat builds up your Groove before battle. The amount of Groove that will be added appears at the bottom right-hand side of your screen while Soundsurfing.
In order to unlock Soundsurfing with Beat, complete Week 2, Day 2 to add Beat to your party. Afterward, you unlock Soundsurfing when you enter the second area of Week 2, Day 3.
You may upgrade to Super Soundsurf by purchasing the Social Network reward from the Reaper Commentator for 5 Friendship Points. This can be done after completing his side quest on Week 2, Day 7. Super Soundsurf buffs the Groove boost received during Soundsurfing.
