List of Contents
Groove is the percentage meter located at the top center of your screen during combat. Build up Groove by performing Beatdrop combos on enemies. If you don't perform a Beatdrop combo, your Groove will reduce over time.
If you finish a battle with unused Groove, 70% of it will carry over to your next battle. During Chain Battles, Groove carries over in full between Reductions. Running away from a battle will cause Groove to revert to 0.
Each Pin has their own condition to summon the Beatdrop Gauge. You can see how to trigger the Beatdrop Gauge for each Pin under the Pins tab of the character menu.
When the circular Beatdrop Gauge appears on-screen, attack the monster with another character's pysch before the timer runs out in order to Drop the Beat. Dropping the Beat adds a base 15% to your Groove, while Dropping the Beat during a Mashup adds 5%. Progressing through the game will allow Beatdrops to add more Groove.
In the Social Network, you can unlock a Beatdrop sweet spot that adds bonus percentage to your Groove. If you Drop the Beat while in the orange section of the gauge, you can add either 20% or 30% to your Groove. Dropping the Beat on the orange section during a Mashup will add 15%.
Unlock the Beatdrop Bonus by completing the sidequest Wallet Woes on Week 2, Day 1.
Social Network Guide and Rewards
Once your Groove is at 100% or higher, your team can perform a Mashup attack, which is a significantly powerful combo Psych. In terms of dealing damage, a Mashup Attack multiplies the Pin in use's ATK stat by the number of people standing on your team. Max Groove increases to 200% at the start of Week 2, Day 3. Performing a mashup at 200% deals more damage.
You unlock the Killer Remix ability on Week 2, Day 7. Performing a mashup attack at 300% will trigger the Killer Remix, a powerful bombardment of projectiles that also significantly heals your team after use. Additionally, Noise erased during this time have their Pin drop rate multiplied.
The type of Mashup attack depends on the affinity of the Pin that was being used when Groove hits 100%. You can still change the Mashup Pin even after Groove hits 100%. Just perform another Beatdrop with the Pin Affinity you want to use for the Mashup in order to switch it.
