The Holy Night Miracle
The Holy Night is coming, and a legend says that if you make a wish under a large tree, it will come true. Sage Meryln is trying to think of the perfect gift for her apprentice when a girl named Stella calls out to her.
Stella wants to investigate the Holy Night legend together, and Meryln decides that discovering a new magic for her apprentice might be the perfect gift.
Their journey begins at a shop filled with magical tomes. Stella excitedly explores the shelves while Meryln researches. She learns that the Holy Night was originally a celebration of gratitude to God, and that it once included a lost magic capable of calling forth miracles.
Seeing Stella’s enthusiasm reminds Meryln of her own youth and of her master. Guided by these memories, she decides their next stop should be back home, to her master’s library, where they may uncover even more of the Holy Night’s secrets.
Her True Feelings
Sage Meryln temporarily parts ways with Stella and heads deep into the Brook forest, where she once lived with her master. She hasn’t returned in years.
The old home is covered in dust, so she cleans it by hand—no magic—smiling as she rediscovers little memories, like her master’s pumpkin pie recipe.
But when she flips the page, she finds a hidden message from her master. Shocked, she hurries back to the mansion to tell Stella.
Meryln explains that the letter reveals a secret: on the Holy Night, she must confess her love beneath the great tree in the town square, and the love she longs for will become hers. That means… she has to confess to Mister Apprentice.
Flustered, she goes back and forth in her mind, insisting that she and her apprentice are “just a master and student,” trying to deny her feelings. When she finally looks around, she notices Stella is gone.
Then, suddenly—snow begins to fall from the ceiling.
Covered in Snow, Red as a Tomato
Meryln is shocked—snow is pouring through the mansion ceiling, covering everything.
She begins clearing it, and soon most of the snow is gone. Suddenly, she hears the bells from the town. Looking up, she realizes the clock is frozen. There’s barely any time left before the Holy Night. She had been so focused on cleaning that she didn’t notice the hours slipping away.
Remembering that miracles grow stronger when it snows, she rushes to find Stella. When she finally does, she explains her master’s secret message.
Stella stutters in surprise, asking if she really has to confess to Bossh, her face turning as red as a tomato.
A Wonderful Holy Night
Meryln still hasn’t found a present for Mister Apprentice, which makes her a little sad—but she’s excited to see him nonetheless.
She reminisces about the adventure she’s had—from returning to her old home in the forest to the sudden snow pouring into the mansion.
She feels a surge of excitement thinking about seeing Mister Apprentice. She imagines how surprised or happy he’ll be, eager to share his own stories with her. As she waits for him, she can’t help but picture the wonderful Holy Night they’ll have together.

| The Holy Night provides a chance to express gratitude to those you cherish. But, there also exists a certain legend. It's said that miracles happen on the Holy Night, granting the wishes of many... And now, the Holy Night is fast approaching. I want to show Mister Apprentice how thankful I am, but I can't seem to find a suitable gift... "Master Merlyn!" Suddenly, a girl draped in a black cloak appeared before me. "The Shining Star of Holy Darkness, Stella, has arrived! Come, let us uncover the ancient covenant hidden in the shadows of night!" Hm. I think I get what Stella's trying to get at. There's a legend-making a wish under a large tree on the Holy Night grants a miracle that will make it come true. So, she's saying, "We should look into that mystery!" But, a miracle that grants wishes on the Holy Night, huh...? Gifting magic sounds perfect for a master like me, and that would be just the right gift for Mister Apprentice! "Sure, let's go look together." |

| To begin our investigation of the Holy Night's miracle, Stella and I visited a shop specializing in magical tomes, but... "Whoa, this is so cool! I knew I could count on you to find some good leads, Master Merlyn!" Stella was completely enamored by the countless number of magical tomes before her. Hehe, it's nice to see her so excited. In the meantime, I should get started on my research. Oh...! Apparently, the Holy Night was originally celebrated in order to offer thanks to God. And over time, the holiday evolved into one to express gratitude to those you cherish. But, there's nothing written here about miracles... "A long-lost secret art... Powerful magic from the ancient legends of yore, harnessed to summon miracles from God... That's awesome!" Stella seemed even more excited that there wasn't much written down, though... Watching her relish in the task of uncovering a mystery reminds me of when I first started studying magic. I wonder if my eyes sparkled like hers back then. Wait a minute! My master was pretty knowledgeable about old legends and the like. I might be able to find more leads in her library back home. And it has been a while, so maybe I should go visit... |

| After temporarily parting ways with Stella, I headed deep into the forest of Brook. I used to live here with my master. It's been a while since I've come back to visit, but...wow. Even the library's completely covered in dust. Alright, cleaning everything all at once will be a breeze with some wind magic! ...Oh no, my hat...! ...Uuu. Okay, no shortcuts. I'll clean everything one by one with a duster... Oh, now this one takes me back- Master's pumpkin pie recipe! I believe we made one together one day. I kept messing up, and she couldn't stop laughing... Hehe! My master isn't here in our world anymore, but I can see her again like this in my memories... Let's see what's on the next page... Huh? "To my dear Merlyn. So, you're finally old enough to need this, huh?" This is Master's handwriting... Did she know I'd find this eventually? ...Hm? Th-This is...! |

N-No, that's not what I was planning to do! Besides, Mister Apprentice and I are master and apprentice, so it's much too soon for that kind of thing- or rather, it's not like that at all! A-Anyway, I'm just glad I got to the bottom of this Holy Night's miracle mystery! Yeah! Um... so, where did Stella run off to? I heard she was talking to Gil'uial earlier, but... ...Ahh!
