Depending on whether you intend Treasured Fenrir to deal damage or sit in the sidelines as a support, her rune setup will vary slightly.

If you want to use her as a DPS (and/or have her at LR rarity), give her STR, ATK, and PM DEF Break runes. If not, you can lose the PM DEF Break runes, but keep her STR and ATK (since her healing scales off of her ATK).

For defensive runes, you will want her to live for as long as possible, so give her HP and STA runes, as well as CRIT RES and maybe Debuff RES. You may also consider EVD runes, though if you are facing opponents with high ACC, then focus on boosting her HP instead.

3 Amber Team

A team mainly made up of Treasured Fenrir, Rustica, Potpourri, and two other supports of your choice (like Merlyn and Meria).

Have Treasured Fenrir in the middle, flanked by both Rustica and Potpourri, who will act as the team's main DPS carries. Have your two supports at both ends of the formation (Merlyn is perfect for this, as you can put her next to either Rustica or Potpourri for CRIT support and other buffs).

PvE Support Team

Just a regular PvE team made up of either Cordie or Florence, plus Treasured Fenrir, and two other supports (say, Merlyn and Primavera).

Have Treasured Fenrir stand in the middle again, with your DPS carry above or below her, and then Merlyn in the corner (so she can buff your DPS). Position the other supports as you see fit.

Good and Cheap Damage Cut and Anti-CRIT Support

At just one copy, Treasured Fenrir can already grant a 20% damage cut buff (via force field) to the two allies next to her in battle. Position your DPS carries next to her, and they will survive any fatal blow that goes over 10% of their HP.

On top of this, she boosts her entire party's chance to resist a critical hit by 60% during the first turn, which can potentially save them from enemies with strong turn-one burst setups.

The damage cut improves if Treasured Fenrir has her unique weapon, Snow Puff Mittens, at UR rarity. This is because the damage cut goes up to 50%.

Needs 7+ Turns to Be An Effective ATK Support and DPS

Treasured Fenrir also has two other interesting abilities once they have been used on the 7th turn: Her first active skill, Magical Candy, grants 3 stacks of her Secret Ingredient buff to the ally with the highest ATK. Each buff raises the target's ATK by 6% (for an up to 90% ATK buff at the maximum 15 stacks).

Meanwhile, her second active skill, Flavor of Magic, effectively removes Fenrir skill cooldown, allowing her to attack the enemy with impunity and stack Secret Ingredient on her allies.

The problem is that for both of these effects to happen, Treasured Fenrir will have to survive until the 7th turn and beyond, along with at least one other DPS. This can be a very tall order for some players, especially if their Treasured Fenrir is only at the base SR rarity.

Healing Scales Off ATK

Until the sixth turn, Treasured Fenrir will heal all her allies' damage equal to 50% of her ATK. Though this means she needs to have a high ATK in order to give effective healing, the healing itself can help sustain your team until the seventh turn - when all of Fenrir's other uses come to life.

Useful at Base Rarity, Good at LR

If you only need Treasured Fenrir to provide a cheap and easy way to survive the first turn of a battle, then players do not need to raise her rarity beyond base SR even in PvP. At this point, she's already plenty useful in PvE teams that are trying to survive for as long as possible (via her force field and healing).

But once a player has left low-end PvP and seeks to dominate the Legend League, we can only recommend using Treasured Fenrir if she has been raised to at least LR rarity. This way, she will have the right stats to survive heavy hits from high-end enemy teams.

At the start of the turn, this skill grants the 2 allies adjacent to Fenrir [Force Field] for 4 turns (cannot be dispelled). When an enhanced target of [Force Field] is attacked and takes damage that exceeds 10% of their max HP, the exceeding amount of damage to that enhanced target is cut by 20%. The effect that grants [Force Field] will not activate again until 4 action phases have ended since its previous activation.
