Moon Halo Basic Info

Moon Halo is among the top five strongest guilds in World 5, and Game8 was able to catch up with its guildmaster, ClaireBear, to find out their tips for new players, as well as their thoughts on the game.

Moon Halo's Tier List

In a tier list sent by the guild to Game8 (at the time of Asahi's release), the guild counted Rusalka, Illya's God's Curse version, Artie, and other witches as the best of their Soul types. Rusalka, Illya, and Artie are among the top witches preferred to be used by players in PvP.

Between their highest SSS ranking to S, we can see that the guild prefers units like Asahi, A.A., Elfriede, Nina, Sivi, and Fia, who are also all great units for PvP.

Hold Out on the Invocation of Chance

While playing through MementoMori's Main Quest, players will eventually unlock the Invocation of Chance, a gacha banner that allows players to pull for a specific character they want while also having the chance to get other items as well such as 8 hours' worth of Kindling Orbs or EXP orbs from the Chests of Chance.

ClaireBear says beginners ought to avoid the Invocation of Chance until the Kindling Orbs they get from the 8-hour orbs is "greater than the 500 Diamonds it costs to pull for it."

Since 100 Kindling Orbs can be bought at the Shop for around 160 or so Diamonds, 500 Diamonds would get more than 300 Kindling Orbs. By Game8's projections, once players start getting more than 300 Kindling Orbs out of their 8-hour orbs, then that's when the Invocation of Chance begins being worth pulling from.

Focus on Building Five Units at a Time

ClaireBear said that they often advised Moon Halo members to focus on Augmenting the gear of only five witches at a time. "You can always transfer to another (witch) if you decide to swap," they said. Considering how scarce resources can get for players at the game's early stages, it's wise to keep all your upgrades concentrated on certain pieces of gear and only swap them between witches as necessary.

Another tip the Moon Halo GM had was that out of all the Gear Gacha banners, the Invocation of the Holy and the Invocation of the Forbidden banners are the most diamond-efficient in the game. The Invocation of the Holy Banner yields materials that build Sandalphon gear, while the Invocation of the Forbidden yields materials that build Astaroth gear.

Upgrading these sets will eventually get you Haniel and Satan gear sets respectively. Both these sets give your witches bonuses in ATK and CRIT, though Satan gear gives bonuses in DEF Break. This valuable stat can drastically boost your witch's damage output.
