1 Find the Greymane
Find the Greymane
Head to the Bloomwood Ranch and ask for the Greymane. You will find out that it is a self-proclaimed Greymane and a drunkard named Boris.
2 Follow Boris
Follow Boris
Call your horse and follow Boris. He will take you to a broken cart at the Unicorn Cliff.
3 Investigate the Suspicious Cave
Investigate the Suspicious Cave
Boris will let you take on the bandits near the suspicious cave while he calls the guard for back up. Investigate the cave after securing the area by looking for traces of memories.
4 Read the Memory in the Cave
To find the memory, head deep in the cave and use your Lantern and point it in the direction of the ghost holograms. Wait for Kliff to learn it and then use the Visione (Helm) to see the memory clearly.
5 Go Out of the Cave
Leave the cave and the Hernand Guards that Boris called will take over the scene.
6 Go to the Guards
Go to the Guards
Talk to the guards on the road nearby and learn more about the main suspect of all the happenings, which is Hornsplitter and his crew. The quest will end after this.

How to Read the Memory in the Cave During Secrets Hidden in the Dark

Point Your Lantern and Equip Visione

During the "Investigate the suspicious cave" objective, find the memory by shining your Lantern and pointing it on the direction of the ghost holograms, where it reacts the most. Wait for Kliff to learn the memory and then equip the Visione helmet to see the memory fully.
