The Unyielding Shields Walkthrough
1. A Thousand Troops
| 1.1 | Advance to Calphade Castle |
|---|---|
 Go south towards Calphade Castle. The entrance will have plenty of retreating Black Bears you can fight or run past. |

 Enter and meet up with your old ally Oongka. You cannot control Oongka yet at this point, so you will continue playing as Kliff. ▶ How to Unlock Oongka |

| 1.3 | Support Stefan Lanford |
| Move up ahead and meet with Stefan Lanford. After the cutscene, be prepared for a boss fight. |
2. Traitor
| 2.1 | Defeat Cassius Morten |
|---|---|
 Head inside the castle to face Cassius Morten. He has long attack chains so be patient with dodging and retaliating. To deal heavy damage, you can use Nature's Grasp on the pillars he knocks down to slam them on the boss's head. ▶ How to Beat Cassius Morten |
3. All Quiet on the Front
| 3.1 | Tell the News to Marquis Lanford |
|---|---|
| After defeating Cassius Morden, you will meet Marquis Lanford and tell him the news, liberating Calphade Castle. |
4. News of Victory
| 4.1 | Follow the Soldier |
|---|---|
| Walk with the soldier outside and follow him on horseback to the Calphade Beacon. | |
| 4.2 | Light the Beacon |
Head to the top of the beacon and light it on fire by shooting it with a fire arrow. You can light your arrow tips with the torches on the walls. |
5. Return Home
| 5.1 | Speak With Your Comrades |
|---|---|
| Return to Howling Hill and speak to Yann, Duane, and Oongka. This finishes the quest and the Cracks in the Shield Chapter. Up next is Chapter 7: Homecoming. |
