1. Cradle of Defense

1.1 Raise the Banner Pike at the Siege Armory
Siege Armory Banner Pike Location
Head to the Calphade Siege Armory and join the battle against the Black Bears. Locate the banner slightly southeast of the orange marker, which actually marks where the banner should be placed.
1.2
Pick up the banner pike using Nature's Grasp and carry it to the banner stand at the Siege Armory. Since there will be many enemies in your way, you can drop the banner first to fight them before continuing.
1.3 Raise the Banner at the Gunpowder Mill
Gunpowder Mill Banner Pike Location
Head to the next marker at the Gunpowder Mill. The banner is located just south of the marker among the ruined buildings.

Both the banner and the stand have an even heavier amount of enemies, including elites, so be prepared to fight and thin out the hostiles before moving the banner pike to the slot.
1.4 Raise the Banner Pike at Thalwynd
Thalwynd Banner Pike Location
Repeat the same for the final banner at the Thalwynd area north of you, located in an alleyway beside a building. As with the other locations, be prepared for a fight.

Replenish Health at Allied Guard Posts

Ally Central Guard Posts

There are allied guard post checkpoints to the west of the battlefield that provide you with support. You can stop and rest to recover HP. You can visit them at any time between objectives during the battle, and you can use the aid once every 5 in-game hours.

2. Hand of Deliverance

2.1 Speak with the Soldier at the Southern Guard Post
Southern Guard Post Soldier
Head to the Southern Guard Post and speak to the soldier taking care of the wounded. He will ask for help in retrieving wounded soldiers in other POIs.
2.2 Find the Soldier in Need of Help
Wounded Soldier Location
Head northeast from the guard post into the orange area and clear out the first enemy hold. The soldier is lying on a mat inside. When clear, you can pick him up and place him on your mount.
2.3 Rescue the Injured Soldier
Bring the injured soldier back to the Southern Guard Post to complete the mission.

3. Fire on the Frontlines

3.1 Destroy the Enemy's Supply Wagons
Supply Wagon Location
Go to the Church of Calphade area and go inside the church to find the supply wagon.
3.2
Use Blinding Light to Burn the Wagon
First, use Blinding Light and target the wagon to set it on fire. This weakens it, allowing you to deal damage with attacks afterward.
3.3
Destroying the Supply Wagon
After it finishes burning, attack the wagon until it is destroyed to complete the questline. Next is the Fire Support quest in the Turning Tides questline.
