How to Unlock Forward Slash Proficiency

Observe the Soldier in Hernand Castle as Kliff

Forward Slash Proficiency Unlock

Kliff can unlock the Proficiency skill upgrade of Forward Slash for free by finding the soldier holding a longsword in Hernand Castle’s training yard and observing him while he trains with the middle dummy .

Equip the Hernandian Attire to gain access to the interior of Hernand Castle. If you find no one that fits this description, return at a later time around 1:00 PM in-game.

To observe the soldier, approach and wait for an Observe prompt in the bottom right of the screen. When it appears, press and hold LB (Xbox), Ctrl (PC), or L1 (PS5) to learn the skill.

Unlocking Forward Slash Proficiency Does Not Unlock Forward Slash Lv. 2

Unfortunately, unlocking Foward Slash's Proficiency skill for free will not automatically raise its parent skill, Forward Slash, to level 2. You will still need to spend an Abyss Artifact if you want to get Forward Slash Lv. 2 on the way to Lv. 3.

Also Available by Upgrading its Parent Skill

Alternatively, players can unlock Forward Slash Proficiency by raising its parent skill, Forward Slash, to Level 2.
