1. Realm of Uncertainty

1.1 Move Forward
Unknown Space Step 1
Awakening in the Abyss, move forward through the area where the game will teach you basic movements such as running, jumping, wall-climbing, and crouching.
1.2 Use Blinding Flash on the Light Device
Blinding Flash Puzzle
After moving past the crouch space, you will reach a locked door. A prompt to press L1+R1/LB+RB will appear, which activates the Blinding Flash skill. You must aim it at the light above the door to open it.

Steps to use Blinding Flash:
  1. Hold Down L1+R1 / LB+RB to activate the stance
  2. Aim the target towards the light device
  3. While still holding R1/RB, press L1/LB again to concentrate light on it
  4. Keep holding L1/LB until the device activates
1.3 Find the Exit
Find the Exit with Lantern
Head through the opened door and follow the path into a dark tunnel. Equip your Lantern from the radial menu to light your path. You can use it to brighten the surrounding area or point it forward to see further ahead.

Keep moving forward as it is only one singular path, and you will exit at the light at the end of the tunnel shortly.

After the tunnel exit, you will be face to face with the exit from the Abyss. Move forward to return to Hernand.

2. New Journey

2.1 Follow Sebastian
Unknown Space Step 3
Back on the ground in Hernand, follow the man named Sebastian towards his house.
2.2
Unknown Space Step 4
Defeat the hostile soldiers harassing Sebastian near the house.
2.3 Head to Hernand
Unknown Space Step 5
After defeating the soldiers, hop on the nearby horse and follow Sebastian to the city.
2.4
Unknown Space Step 6
Once you arrive, a cutscene will play, completing the mission. This starts the First Encounter chapter, starting with the Trials of Kindness questline. You are free to explore Pywel once you exit the tent.
