Volunteer at the Camp

You receive Renown as a reward for volunteering at the camp. The rating determines the number of Renown you receive, so be sure to obtain a Perfect rating when farming for Renown.

Clear Chapters for 10 Renown

Another good way of racking up some Renown is by progressing the story and completing main quests, as finishing a Chapter reward you 10 Renown each time.

Additionally, you can earn more Renown by skipping side missions.

What You Can Do with Renown

Purchase Items

You can use the Renown that you have to purchase different types of items. Head over to your Personal Quarters at the camp, inspect the journal, and choose Spend Renown.

Purchase the Vanguard Whistle

With your New Game Plus save, you can purchase Vanguard Whistles. For 3 Renown each, players can purchase this item and use it to instantly capture unclaimed regions, which can drastically speed up the process of clearing succeeding playthroughs.

After clearing the game for the first time, players will have access to purchasing Weapons that are very rare, with some you can only get through Renown Exchange!

Accessories can also be claimed using Renown after clearing the game. Important accessories like Experience Gems and Knowledge Gems can be claimed for 15 Renown, with each having 3 stocks.

Players can also purchase Dragon Signs for 6 Renown each, which gives a character a specific Crest when equipped. You can use these accessories to take advantage of the Crest effects of certain Weapons!

After clearing the game, you will also have access to redeeming secret characters for 60 Renown each. Sothis and Rhea are guaranteed to show up on your Renown Exchange after clearing the game, but you can also recruit Arval should you have gotten Byleth beforehand!
