When interacting with other characters at the Camp or during cutscenes, you'll often be given a choice of dialogue. Giving a certain response will often raise your Support Level with that character.
For a full list of correct answers to raise Support during every conversation, follow along with our Story Walkthrough!
From the Camp, you can go on an Expedition with a character of your choice in exchange for 1 Activity Point, so long as you have reached C-Rank Support with them.
During Expeditions, you'll be able to Talk or ask Questions to that character, and giving correct responses three times will yield a Perfect Conversation, which will give higher Support Points than normal. That said, even if you give the wrong answer all three times, you'll still get some Support Points for your trouble.

You can increase your allies' support points by giving them gifts, which you can buy from the Item Shopkeeper in exchange for gold. Each of your companions has their own preferences when it comes to gifts, and giving them the right gift will reward you with more support points.
You can figure out what kind of gifts they like receiving by observing them through your interactions during story mode cutscenes and talking to them in the camp. You can also check out their individual pages to see what they like or dislike!
Best Gifts to Give Each Character
Cooking and eating with your allies is another way of gaining support points to increase your support level. Each of your allies will have their own preferences when it comes to food, and serving them with their favorite dish will increase the number of support points you gain.
You are also given a cooking rank based on how well you cook your dishes. Getting a higher rank means you will be awarded more support points. You can start cooking with your allies by heading to the Kitchen Master inside the camp.

Another way of increasing your allies' support points is to have them join you in volunteering tasks from the Chore Master. There are various volunteering tasks, and each has different requirements that are suited for your allies. Choosing an ally fitted for the volunteer tasks is key to getting a higher rank which grants you more support points. You will also receive renown and gift items for reaching the highest rank.
Aside from increasing your own support points, allies paired up with each other also gain support points from one another.
Support Level is a mechanic in the game that tells you the relationship between you and the character and can be increased by gaining support points.
Maxing out your support points for each level allows you to unlock support conversations, which lets you know more about your ally and increases the cap to get to the next support level.
Keep in mind that not everyone has a support conversation available for each level, and sometimes other characters don't interact with each other at all. Some support conversations are also locked until you reach a certain part of the story.
You can determine if a character has a support conversation from the Support Info menu and check if there's a triple dot displayed above each level. If it has it, then a support conversation will be available after maxing out that rank.
In combat, you can gain support from various characters by including them in your party and fighting by their side. This is especially true for characters that are assigned as adjutants.
Aside from getting to know your characters, you also receive bonuses from them when assigning them as your adjutant, such as having your attack and guard gauge fill much quicker and giving you an even more powerful Partner Special.
Another benefit you can get from having a high support level is allowing one to share each others' unique abilities whenever you assign an ally as your adjutant. The higher the support level, the more you can share with each other.

Shez cannot start relationships or marry any other characters in the game. However, there are a number of romantic features which demonstrate the effort the game puts into character interactions, such as going out on dates via Expeditions.
