Combat Arts and Magic in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes sometimes have traits that gives beneficial effects, which often complement how they're used. Learn more about the different types of traits, as well as learn how to view traits for each Combat Arts and Magic!

Trait | Description |
---|---|
Burning | Burns the opponent, causing continual damage for a time. Burning units may combust if hit with a follow-up attack. |
Cannot Guard | Opponents cannot guard. |
Critical | High critical hit rate. |
Effective vs All | Effective against all enemies. |
Effective vs Armored Units | Effective vs Armored Units |
Effective vs Cavalry | Effective against mounted units. |
Effective vs Fliers | Effective against fliers. |
Effective vs Monsters | Effective against monsters. |
Frozen | Freezes the opponent. Frozen units are unable to move or attack. |
Guard Break | Breaks opponent's guard. |
Guard Pierce | Inflicts damage even when opponent is guarding. |
Heal | Recovers the user's or an ally's HP. |
Instant Kill | Has a chance to instantly defeat non-commander units. |
Light Magic | Inflicts light magic damage on the opponent. |
Reduce Stun Gauge | Depletes the stun gauge. |
Shock | Shocks the opponent. Shocked units discharge electricity when sent flying, damaging units around them and rendering them shocked as well |
Spellbound | Spellbinds the opponent. Spellbound units will move slowly, have reduced defense and resistance, and will not be able to prevent damage even when guarding. |
Strengthen | Strengthens the user. |
Weaken | Weakens the opponent. |
Windtorn | Inflicts the Windstorm Status. Windtorn units take more damage when in the air. |
Some Combat Arts and Magic in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes have traits attached that gives beneficial effects, often complementing how they're used. Unfortunately, they can't be moved or changed as they are stuck to the combat arts they are assigned to.
You can view which trait your Combat Arts and Magic have by heading to your Set Equipment menu from the Convoy menu. You can then press X to view which trait the Combat Art or Magic has.
