This is a beginner's guide to Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Read on to learn about Fire Emblem Three Hopes and the best ways to progress through the game!
List of Contents
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes features a similar Hack 'n Slash approach to combat as other Warrior Titles. With waves and large groups of enemies scattered over a large map, players will get to button mash and try many different combos to swipe enemies out of play!
Like its predecessors, FEW3H offers strategy elements that are a core part of the series. You command armies over sections of the map, strategically assigning where they'll go and who will join them! You will also have to assign ally units on the world map to engage with enemies.
How to Progress Through the Game |

When beginning your game, you will need to decide on whether you would like your gameplay to be challenging or casual. The different difficulty modes, when paired with the Classic or Casual game mode, can drastically change your gameplay experience.
Difference Between Difficulty Modes: Which Difficulty Should You Choose?
For Casual players, consider playing in Normal Mode in a Casual Game to enjoy the story with low risk. On the other hand, we recommend Hardcore players to try out Hard Mode in a Classic Game.
Note that there is permadeath in Classic Mode, which means you can lose many of your allies in-game.
Permadeath Explained: What Happens When A Unit Dies?
Each House has their own path and story, differing in themes and characters you meet along the way. While you can replay the game to experience all three, knowing in which house you want to start is important!
Which House Should You Choose?
Outside of combat, one sure way to raise support with your Allies is to give them gifts. Each character has their own likes and dislikes that affects the way they receive these gifts so be sure to make the right choices!
Gift Giving Guide: Best Gifts to Give Each Character
By Chapter 5, you will gain access to Expeditions which allow you to have a quiet moment with your Ally of choice. These moments raise support and if you play your cards right, can give you other bonuses such as increased Charm!
Every battle is different in one way or another and the best way to understand what you may face is to understand the interface!
Each character and ally you control can be given orders to help control the battlefield. They will perform these orders to the best of their abilities, which is why players will need to be strategic in assigning allies. If no commands are given, they will take the recommended action instead.
You will also have to check the battlefield often else your allies may be left without guidance!
Getting S-Rank is not only a boost in confidence, it's also a great way to earn extra gold and rewards! Each quest has their own requirements to fulfill, so keep them in mind when playing through the story!
How to Get S Rank in Every Mission
Like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, playable characters can be assigned as adjutants that will train and fight by your side.In battle, you can assign your own Adjutant and that of your allies!
In battle, they can break the enemy formations and send them flying towards the player, giving them chances to attack! They will also guard you in times of need, protecting you from incoming strikes. These will be dependent though on the Adjutant's level.
Partner Specials are attacks using the Warrior Gauge that change depending on your class and your Adjutant! These can not only deal great amounts of damage, but also raise your support level with allies!
Your Base is the center of operations and the place you can find all allies, fix up your weapons, upgrade and the like! So be sure to learn everything it has to offer to make the most of your facilities!
List of Facilities: Best Facilities to Upgrade
At the Base Camp, you will have a chance to train with allies which seems to not only raise skills but also raise your support points with them. When training with an ally, there is a chance for them to learn skills from their partner that they would not normally acquire on their own!
Training can also raise experience with the chosen classes, allowing players to learn skills and increase weapon levels.
Classes Guide: All Class Stats and Abilities
Dining with Allies not only provides an adorable scene with them enjoying (or not) your home cooked meals, it also provides buffs and increased support points for all 3 characters!
List of Cooking Recipes & How to Cook
Like Dining, you can invite 2 allies to assist you with tasks around camp, increasing renown and support with them!
How to Get a Perfect in Cooking, Chores, and Training
In order to progress and improve your allies and facilities, you will need quite a bit of gold. This can be earned by completing side quests, breaking red pots, and selling equipment!
