When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Winter Hortensia are +Spd and -Def. Spd is a superboon and boosts Hortensia's Spd from base 48 to base 52, allowing her to keep up with all the fast metagame foes. Hortensia's Spd is also used in the calculation of Snowman Staff's bonus true damage and bonus Atk/Spd in combat, indirectly increasing her damage output.
Boosting Spd also improves her capacity to generate follow-up attacks against her foes with the help of Snowman Staff's Null Follow-Up effect.
Winter Hortensia's Def is a clear dump stat and can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend +Spd when merging Winter Hortensia up to +10 as it is her most important stat, increasing damage output and ability to generate follow-up attacks.

Twinkling Anima is a worthwhile skill to equip as it will help in almost any situation. The start-of-turn effects make it a great support skill, while the in-combat effects allow Winter Hortensia to deal as much damage as possible.
