What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill grants 【Hexblade】 and 【Null Panic】 to unit and nearby allies, inflicts Atk/Def penalties onto foe, grants a guaranteed follow-up attack and damage reduction on foe's first attack to unit. |
Might: 16 Range: 1 Grants Def+3. At start of turn, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants 【Hexblade】 and 【Null Panic】 to unit and allies within 3 spaces of unit. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, inflicts penalty to foe's Atk/Def = number of 【Bonus】 effects active on unit, excluding stat bonuses, x 2, + 6 (max 12), and if number of 【Bonus】 effects active on unit excluding stat bonuses ≥ 3, reduces damage from foe's first attack by X% during combat (if foe can make a follow-up attack, X = 80; otherwise, X = 40; "first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes). 【Hexblade】 Calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res during combat for 1 turn (including damage dealt by Specials before combat). 【Null Panic】 If unit is inflicted with Panic (bonuses converted into penalties), neutralizes the "converts bonuses on target into penalties" effect for 1 turn. (Even though the effect is neutralized, the Panic status remains, and is treated as a Penalty status.) |
Cooldown Count = 4 Boosts damage dealt by 80% of unit’s Def. |
Inflicts Atk -7 on foe through its next action after combat. |
At start of turn, if unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Def+6 for 1 turn. |

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Mauvier will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Mauvier are +Def and -Spd. Def is a superboon and boosts Mauvier's Def from base 46 to base 50 (53 with Penitent Lance equipped). Together with Penitent Lance's damage reduction effect, Mauvier becomes a very sturdy physical wall capable of withstanding multiple attacks from his foes.
Mauvier's base Spd of 18 is unsalvageable, especially with the lack of ways to prevent follow-up attacks. It is a safe bane to take.
We recommend +Def when merging Mauvier up to +10 to maximize his survival rate even against foes that can deal heavy physical damage.

This build uses premium skills to maximize Mauvier both offensively and defensively. Incite Atk/Res provides the third 【Bonus】 effect to trigger Penitent Lance's damage reduction effect; Incite Atk/Def would be better on Mauvier once it's released.

This is a cheaper alternative to the build above using skills available from Divine Codes while retaining Mauvier's functionality as a bruiser unit.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Mauvier is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Mauvier comes with his own exclusive weapon in Penitent Lance. This lance grants 【Hexblade】 and 【Null Panic】 to himself and all allies within 3 spaces of him at the start of each turn, providing useful effects to a wide range of allies with ease.
In combat, Penitent Lance grants Mauvier a guaranteed follow-up attack and inflicts a penalty onto his foe's Atk/Def equal to 6 plus twice the number of 【Bonus】 effects active on Mauvier (maximum penalty capped at -12).
Also, if Mauvier has 3 or more 【Bonus】 effects active during combat, Penitent Lance grants him damage reduction on his foe's first attack equal to 80% if his foe can make a follow-up attack, and 40% if his foe cannot. This damage reduction effect keeps Mauvier healthy throughout multiple engagements and ensures he survives combat, especially with his low Spd and lack of ways to prevent follow-up attacks.
Mauvier's base 18 Spd is very low, which leaves him vulnerable to follow-up attacks from his enemies. He will be reliant on Penitent Lance's damage reduction effect to keep him healthy throughout multiple engagements.
As more and more units are able to pierce through non-Special damage reduction, Mauvier's Spd may become a significant weak point to exploit.
Mauvier takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Should You Unlock Potential for this Hero? |

Mauvier has Seal Atk 3 and Rouse Atk/Def 3 as inheritable options.
Mauvier's base kit is underwhelming for inheritance purposes. We recommend merging your Mauvier copies instead, as he is a powerful hero worth investing into and using on multiple game modes.

The budget build is misleading. Atk smoke 4 is says is in divine codes, but only 2 characters are listed as having that skill & neither are from normal 1 through normal 5 divine codes that i can find. Maybe it was in limited time codes before Dec 2023 when i started? If that's so, it's still not available to me now without finding 1 of those 2 heros somewhere, so it's definitely not "readily available" (or whatever terminology was used).
