Roshea's best IVs are +Atk and -Res . +Atk boosts his already high Atk stat even further, allowing him to deal more damage per attack. His Res is a dump stat and boosting it will not change most of his matchups, thus it is safe to take as a bane.

Roshea is a close-range physical attacker. When the effects of the Weapon Triangle are not taken into account, the damage he deals will be equal to his Atk minus the foes's Def stat.

Roshea Strengths

Stout Lance+ is a good inheritable weapon

Stout Lance+ is a good inheritable weapon that Roshea brings to the game.

It grants Atk/Def+5 during combat if Roshea's HP ≥ 50%, and it also reduces damage from the foe's first attack by half if they can make a follow-up attack against Roshea.

Stout Lance+ is a good mix of offense and defense, which is perfect for defensive units like Roshea.

Multiple bonuses with nearby allies

Roshea comes with Spd/Def Form 3 and Distant Guard 3. Both of these skills function well when allies are nearby Roshea, boosting his Spd and Def by up to 7 and his allies' Def/Res against ranged attacks by 4 each.

Roshea Weaknesses

Lack of Unique Skills

Roshea simply lacks the unique skills necessary to differentiate himself from pretty much every other lance cavalry unit out there.

Use him if he is one of your favorite units, or if he becomes one of your merge projects. Just keep in mind that there are a handful of units that perform his job better due to their various unique skills.

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Roshea takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane+ or a Wolf weapon like Keen Rauðrwolf+, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

His low base Res stat of 21 doesn't help this problem of his. Keep him away from tome and dragonstone users!
