What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Can attack in succession when initiating combat ・Increases the damage output of nearby cavalry units ・Can survive a fatal attack from the foe with Miracle |
Might: 8 Range: 1 Spd -5. Attack twice when initiating combat. |
Cooldown Count = 5 If unit’s HP > 1 and foe would reduce unit’s HP to 0, unit survives with 1 HP. |
Grants Atk/Def +2. |

Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |
---|---|---|
HP (18) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Atk (16) | ★★★★★ | |
Spd (4) | ★★★★☆ | |
Def (8) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Res (3) | ★★☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Finn will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Finn are +Atk and -Res. Since Brave Lance allows Finn to strike twice, even small changes to Atk mean big damage. His Res is of less importance so it can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Finn to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. Maximizing Finn's Atk stat means monstrous damage to the enemy. If you do not plan on using Brave Lance+ on Finn, then you can aim for a +Spd IV instead.

Finn's new weapon and refine give him so much firepower to one-shot units. Stacking Atk/Spd Solo boosts his one-shot potential, while A/D Near Trace and Atk/Spd Menace give debuffs. He can also use A/D Near Trace to retreat to safety after attacking.
Exclusive Weapon Effect from Refining (Special Effect Type) | |

SP: 400 | |
Might: 10 Range: 1 HP: 3 Grants Spd+4 and inflicts Def/Res-4 on unit. Unit attacks twice. (Even if foe initiates combat, unit attacks twice.) At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def-4 on foe during combat and also neutralizes bonuses to foe's Atk/Def (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) during combat. :500 :200 |
|
Loyalty Spear's refine will inflict Atk/Spd/Def-4 on Finn's target and will nullify any bonuses they have to Atk/Def during combat.
We recommend getting this refine as Finn will not only have increased firepower as he attacks twice, but will also bulk up his Atk and Def.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Finn is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Loyalty Spear allows Finn to attack twice regardless of who initiated combat.
The weapon inflicts Def/Res-4, but that does not hurt Finn much as he mainly aims to one-shot an enemy unit rather than take hits.
The weapon refine will also inflict debuffs to an enemy unit's Atk/Spd/Def and nullify any bonuses they have to their own Atk and Def, which further increases Finn's one-shot potential.
As the attack from his weapon is counted as extra attack and not an actual follow-up attack. Check out our recommended builds for Finn
His native special skill, Miracle, has a long cooldown but it saves him from an attack that will take him out. This can buy your team the opening to take out that enemy and save Finn for many turns to come. Since Finn is a high-powered attacker, he can most likely take out the unit threatening him in the succeeding phase—especially if he was able to score a counterattack after taking damage.
His default C skill Goad Cavalary will power up the Atk/Spd of nearby cavalry allies. Since this affects allies within two spaces during combat, it is a very easy to use skill. If you wish to use an all cavalry team, this is a great skill to include on Finn to ensure his allies pack a little extra power.
Finn takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Heroes with Effective Skills
Finn's Res only sits at 22 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Draug's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out.
His durability is hurt even more when using Loyalty Spear because it inflicts a Def/Res-4 to him. A follow-up attack from a magic unit most likely means Finn getting taken out.

Finn can be used to inherit the skill Goad Cavalry. However, you can only acquire Finn from Tempest Trials or from using Heroic Grails, so think carefully before foddering him off.
Finn is a limited time Hero who can be obtained as a reward for your score in the Tempest Trials. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.

I must express to you my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for allowing me to stay by your side. As a knight, fighting for my lord is not just my duty. It does me honor. Long before I came here, I was blessed to serve a remarkable man, and grateful for it. I feel now as I did then… Yet still, regret pierces me. My lord lost his life. I was ordered to remain behind that day, but even so… It stings. And so I shall stay by your side until the very end. I swear it on the lance I wield. |
