When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-Def

The best IVs for Ophelia are +Atk and -Def. A +Atk IV adds +4 to her already high Atk stat. With this IV, she can reach an amazing 55 Atk. Her Def is already low and it is less important for her, so it is safe to take Def as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Ophelia to 10. With a +Spd IV, Ophelia's Spd stat will reach 40 with 10 merges, which makes it easier to prevent follow-up attacks from enemies and allows Ophelia to get more follow-up attacks on his own. If you have access to buffs for Spd, you can go with a +Atk IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

Ophelia's best defense, is a great offense. Having said that, this build maximizes her offenses. Life and Death 4 builds on top of her tome for more offenses, Special Spiral 3 provides faster Special activation after she has used up Missiletainn's 1st turn effect so she can still stay online. Hardy Bearing 3 protects her from Vantage-like effects, but if you are not expecing Vantage, you can go for Life and Death 3 or something similar instead.

Ophelia is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Ophelia's Strengths

Easy to Activate Special

Ophelia's exclusive weapon, Missiletainn, accelerates the special trigger by -1 right off the bat. Additionally, it grants special cooldown -1 for each magic ally in your team. This effect counts Ophelia so if you have 3 other magic users in your team, it will grant a special cooldown reduction of -4. This makes it easy for Ophelia to activate high-cooldown skills like her native Blazing Light.

Blazing Light

Blazing Light deals fixed damage to a certain spots around the target. It is a great special in maps that have clumped up enemies like Rival Domains. It is strong against enemies that have high defenses, as it deals fixed damage regardless of Res or Def (although some skills reduce the damage taken from AoE skills). A lot of strategy can be put into using Ophelia's Blazing Light. You will be surprised at its true potential when used correctly.

Buffs to Multiple Allies

Rally Up Atk+ makes Ophelia a great support unit as well as it grants +6 Atk to target ally and all allies within 2 spaces of said ally. That grants a big net damage boost if most of those allies are able to attack an opponent in that turn.

Chill Res 3 Debuffs Enemies' Res

Chill Res 3 inflicts -7 on the foe with the highest Res through its next action. Ophelia can exploit this because she is a high-powered magic unit.

Ophelia's Weaknesses

Special Cooldown Reduction Only at the First Turn

Missletainn's 2nd effect of granting special cooldown count -1 per magic ally only happens at the start of turn 1. Ophelia needs other skills to rely on speeding-up her special ability to further her offense. Skills like Special Spiral and Heavy Blade, which can also be used as a sacred seal, are good choices that can make special activations for Ophelia consistent even after the first use.
