Should You Pull for Pola?
Yes, Pull for a Versatile Emerald Buffer/Tank with Self-Healing
Pola excels in prolonged battles, survivability, and self-healing. Her skills become significantly more potent after the 7th turn, making her highly effective in longer fights. She provides consistent healing and ATK buff to Emerald allies, enhancing overall team damage output, and her increased max HP and damage reduction make her a durable character. However, Pola's random targeting and delayed activation might be less effective in fast-paced battles or situations requiring precise targeting.
Try to Get Multiple Copies
To fully unlock Pola's potential, she requires significant leveling and investment. We recommend awakening her to at least UR to get her passive skill that reduces the damage she takes by 65%. This passive gives her an SPD buff and reduces her cooldown to 0 turns, which only a few characters like Fenny, Rusalka, Alexandra, Witch Illya, and Winter Lunalynn have.
Pull for Team Buffs
The Courage to Choose provides an ATK buff to allies, enhancing overall team damage output. This is particularly useful in team compositions that rely on buff synergy. However, the Courage to Choose is mainly a buff made for Emerald Soul allies like Fia, Milla, Alex, and Winter Lunalynn, and these characters have healing buffs that help with Pola's team ATK buff. Please note that this stack would work if Pola or an ally uses an active skill that restores HP.
Tank and Damage Reduction
Unrequited Feelings increases Pola's max HP and reduces damage taken, making her a durable character who can withstand heavy attacks. She can absorb damage and protect more fragile allies when enemies aim at her.
Pull If You Like Her Story
In a world of persecution against witches, Pola loses their parents but is saved by Miss Lucille, a witch who becomes their leader. They find refuge in a church where witches and humans coexist peacefully under a kind nun. However, the nun's tragic death divides the group. Lucille's decision to fight against humans deepens the divide, especially with Nebra, who seeks harmony. As divisions grow, the protagonist is left to grapple with guilt, broken bonds, and the lingering impact of prejudice.
When Not To Pull For Pola
Late-Game Dependency
If your battles tend to be short or fast-paced, Pola may struggle to reach her full potential, as many of her most substantial effects activate only after the 7th turn.
Limited Buff Scope
Pola's team-wide buff benefits only Emerald Soul allies, which could limit her utility if your team lacks those units. If you have a strong tank or late-game unit, Pola may not bring significant additional value compared to alternatives.
Limited Resources
Pola works well with Emerald allies. She can work well with characters like Fia and Alex. However, you must invest in many gear and copies for her to have the optimal skill effects. If you do not have enough resources to get her or create a team with any of those characters, you could focus on getting your standard Emerald characters first.
If You're a Beginner
You should focus on getting standard characters like Merlyn or Mertillier to help you with your Main Quest. However, if you like Pola's overall skill set and aesthetics, feel free to pull for her.
