Since Evelyn should primarily be used as a support unit, she will not need PM DEF Break or SPD Runes, though she will still need to boost her ATK. Players are recommended to give her MAG and ATK runes, as well as Debuff ACC runes for her left-side gear.

For her right-side (defensive) gear, she can be given HP, STA, Crit RES, and Debuff RES if possible.

This is a more basic use of Evelyn in a mostly Azure team with Florence and Amleth being the main damage dealers, Sage Merlyn as the cleanser and the buffer, and Evelyn giving a shield to Florence (equal to 600% of Evelyn's ATK). Minasumari can also be brought along to give Florence Stealth, but she can be switched for another unit.

An example of how Evelyn can be useful in a PvE team with Cordie as the main DPS. Evelyn's buffs make her fairly flexible for PvE (her ATK and chance to hit buffs will serve Cordie particularly well).

However, there are other options out there like Matilda or Winter Soltina. Evelyn is only useful in this case if the player does not have either of the two units mentioned.

Use as a Support for DPS Units

Evelyn is primarily a support buffer and debuffer. She can boost a team's main DPS carry's ATK and chance to hit by up to 50%, give them a shield equal to up to 80% of their max HP (or 600% of Evelyn's ATK if the ally was Azure), and lower an enemy team's chance to evade with her Guilt's Reflection debuff.

This makes her somewhat useful in both PvE and PvP, as early PvE players will find her ATK buffs and shield useful (also, she will just need one copy). She is also a useful support for any player who wants to climb the Azure Tower of Souls.

As for PvP, she can also act like this, but using her in a mixed soul team would be suboptimal. She only gives the biggest version of her shield to other Azure witches.

Can Be Useful for Players Investing in Azure Units

Even though an Azure unit that can be reliably used to climb PvP has not come out yet, Evelyn can be a good investment for players expecting an eventual Azure meta unit.

Her shield and ATK buffs are perfect for an Azure DPS, especially since the shield Evelyn will grant to that character is equal to 600% of her ATK. In such a team, Evelyn will need to get her ATK stat boosted to make a larger shield.

These 2 effects are treated as 1 buff. Afterwards, this skill deals 1 magical attack equal to 240% of Evelyn’s ATK to 5 random enemies.

Guilt’s Reflection decreases the chance to evade of all afflicted targets by 5% for each stack they are afflicted with. Afterwards, this skill deals 1 magical attack equal to 460% of Evelyn’s ATK to 2 random enemies.

The targets of the magical attack become 3 random enemies.

The magical attack’s damage becomes equal to 660% of her ATK.
Level 4 Unlocks by level 181
Before dealing the magical attack, if the number of enemies who are afflicted with Guilt’s Reflection is 3 or more, the magical attack’s damage becomes equal to 990% of Evelyn’s ATK.

Additionally, if a target who is granted Shield is an Azure Soul ally, the size of that target’s Shield is further increased by 200% of the granter’s ATK.

When Evelyn is inflicted with a debuff from an active skill, additionally, after the decision to inflict Guilt’s Reflection has been made, if the number of enemies afflicted with Guilt’s Reflection is 3 or more, dispels 2 debuffs from Evelyn.

Additionally, at the start of the battle, decreases the damage Evelyn takes by 60% (cannot be dispelled).
