Description | ||
Harding wants to get better at using her strange new abilities and heads to Arlathan Forest for some much-needed practice. |
Go to the Crossroads and follow the quest marker to ride a ferry to Elvhenan's Haven. Once there, follow the path and fight through some enemies to unlock and arrive at the Arlathan Eluvian hub. Use this hub to go to the latter.
Once in Arlathan, head to the quest marker to meet with Harding and officially start the companion quest. Note that the quest can't start if the player is in combat, so either defeat the nearby enemies or move away from the area and return.
Once the quest starts, follow Harding to trigger an interaction about her practicing. During this interaction, players will have a few dialogue options, but most of these choices will not affect the quest's outcome.
However, players will have the opportunity to increase their romantic bond with Harding with the decision below.

Harding: I could've protected the people who matter. (Sighs) | |

After the interaction, players will unlock Harding's Stone Song passive companion skill. Use the skill to follow the quest markers, eventually leading to a chest containing The Warden's Peer, a medium armor for Harding, and a cutscene of a man calling for help.
After the cutscene, follow the quest marker to arrive at Shoreside Courtyard and reach the injured Veil Jumper using a resonance stone right next to the shore.
Players will receive the Winding Ways sub-quest upon receiving the companion quest. The sub-quest is completed when players unlock the path to the Arlathan Eluvian hub in the Crossroads.
