The trick to solving the Whisperleaf Fortress Strongbox involves pressing the buttons to make sure all 9 of them are lit up and glowing. Press the following buttons to solve this strongbox puzzle:

  1. Press top left button
  2. Press top right button
  3. Press bottom left button

Opening this strongbox rewards you with the Ring of Lightning.

How to Solve Whisperleaf Fortress Strongbox

How to Solve

Pressing down on any button affects the buttons around it in all 4 directions. That means every button in a straight line to the left, right, top and bottom will change its state. Knowing this, you must press buttons in a sequence that will enable all 9 buttons to be lit up.

This strongbox can be found at Whisperleaf Fortress, west of Silver Wolf Mountain in the Pailune region. It is hidden under a rotating tombstone, which you can rotate by using Force Palm on it.

There will be a Tombstone on the western side of Whisperleaf Fortress. Use Force Palm to flip it over and reveal the entrance to the strongbox.
